What Makes Silipell SP2 Unique

Most common water‑repellent admixtures—typically stearates or oleates—are biodegradable. This means their protective effect diminishes over time as they break down or wash out of the concrete. Silipell SP2, however, is a silicone emulsion. When added to concrete, it reacts with the cementitious materials and becomes a permanent part of the matrix. It does not degrade, wash out, or lose effectiveness, offering long‑term protection for the life of the concrete.
