DENSACRETE LITHIUM uses advanced silicate technology, featuring high-activity lithium and potassium silicates, to densify concrete. This non-film forming penetrating sealer blocks capillaries and reacts with the substrate to create a hard, dust-proof, and colour-enhanced finish. A smooth or gloss finish can be easily achieved by concrete polishing. Thanks to its smaller molecular structure and fast-reacting formulation, DENSACRETE LITHIUM accelerates the polishing process. Unlike other silicate densifiers, it is unlikely to leave visible residues or efflorescence after the treatment.
Use DENSACRETE LITHIUM to densify and seal concrete surfaces, including polished residential floors, commercial car parks, and factory or warehouse flooring Apply it to new or existing concrete to strengthen the surface, prevent dusting, and achieve a hard, smooth or glossy, and colour-enhanced finish. You can also use the densifier on masonry substrates such as natural stone, clay bricks, and ceramic tiles. Always conduct a suitability test before application to confirm product compatibility with your intended surface.
Before applying DENSACRETE LITHIUM, thoroughly clean the concrete surface to remove any contaminants that could hinder sealer penetration. Allow the surface to dry completely.
Ensure new concrete is properly cured. Remove all curing compounds, release agents, and surface coatings or membranes, then clean and dry the surface before application. If the concrete has been acid treated, fully neutralise it, rinse thoroughly with water, and allow it to dry.
For polished concrete, grind the surface to 200 grit or the desired finish to expose capillaries or aggregates. This step maximises sealer absorption and ensures optimal densification and the intended surface finish with DENSACRETE LITHIUM.
Use DENSACRETE LITHIUM as a ready-to-use sealer, or dilute it if required. Apply the densifier with a low-pressure hand sprayer, brush, or broom, ensuring an even flood across the surface. Avoid pooling during application.
To maximise absorption, maintain a mirror-like wet film on the surface for up to 30 minutes. If the surface quickly absorbs the first coat, immediately apply a second coat while the surface remains wet (wet-on-wet method). For porous or permeable concrete, repeat the wet-on-wet application until the surface reaches saturation and no longer absorbs the sealer.
Remove any excess sealer that remains unabsorbed within 30 minutes. If left to dry, excess product may form unwanted residues that become difficult to remove once cured.
To achieve a polished finish, polish or buff the concrete after the previously applied DENSACRETE LITHIUM has fully cured and dried. Apply an additional coat of DENSACRETE LITHIUM after each polishing cycle if required. Repeat the polishing and reapplication process until you reach the desired surface finish.
If you require water and oil resistance, apply TECH-DRY’s water and oil resistant densification sealer, or another suitable oil and water repellent sealer, as a top finish after the final polish. For further information, contact Tech-Dry on (03) 9699 8202.
Adjust the application rate of DENSACRETE LITHIUM according to the concrete’s porosity. Dense or newly poured concrete absorbs less sealer, while porous, permeable, or aged concrete absorbs more. Expect a consumption rate between 5–20 m² per litre per coat, though actual rates may vary significantly outside this range.
After Application and curing
Curing begins immediately after you apply DENSACRETE LITHIUM. Allow at least 24 hours for initial curing and protect the surface from heavy traffic and rain during this period. For optimal densification, let the surface cure for 7 days or longer.

DENSACRETE LITHIUM penetrates concrete, blocks pores and capillaries, and hardens the surface. However, the extent of pore blocking, surface hardening, and water resistance depends on multiple site-specific factors beyond the manufacturer’s control. To confirm product suitability, conduct a pilot test on site before full application. If uncertain, contact Tech-Dry on (03) 9699 8202 for guidance.
Wear appropriate protective gear to prevent skin or eye contact with DENSACRETE LITHIUM, an alkaline solution. Although vapour inhalation risk is low, use an air-purifying respirator if exposed to high vapour concentrations. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.
Use the sealer before its use-by date for best results. Store the product in its sealed original container below 25°C. Once opened, use the contents promptly to avoid degradation.
Keep this product away from aluminium surfaces. Keep out of reach of children.
DENSACRETE LITHIUM is available in 20, 200 and 1,000 litre packages.
